Inspection
Roofs and systems, seen up close without climbing.
I've been an electrician for 6 years and I certify solar PV systems. When I film a roof or a system I already know what to look for: broken or dirty panels, shaded areas, slipped tiles, blocked gutters. I deliver clear photos and videos to show your technician or your insurer, with no ladders or scaffolding.

What I check
What I look at from above
For homeowners, apartment buildings and businesses.
Solar panels
It's my everyday job. From above I can see broken, dirty, leaf-covered or shaded panels, and the nests birds build under the modules.
Cables and connections
Cables chewed by animals or cut by a branch blown by the wind: from above they show up straight away.
Roofs and roofing
Broken or slipped tiles, moss, damage after a hailstorm or a storm.
Gutters and downpipes
Blockages and breaks seen up close, with no ladders or cherry pickers.
Façades
Cracks, flaking plaster, signs of damp, floor by floor.
Building sites
Progress on the works seen from above, to show the client.
After damage
Clear, dated images to attach to your insurance claim.
What you receive
Photos and videos exactly as I shot them
I deliver high-quality photos and videos, unedited, ready to pass on to your technician, building manager or insurer.
I point out what I see, especially on the panels. The official assessment and the decision on any work remain with your technician.

Permits and safety
Check first, then fly
You can't fly everywhere: the centre of Bologna is entirely a no-fly zone, just like Sydney Harbour in front of the Opera House, where I had to keep the drone in my backpack. That's why I check everything before confirming.
Flight zones
I check on d-flight in advance whether flying is allowed at the location and apply for any permits needed. If it's not possible, I'll tell you straight away.
The owner's permission
I only fly over a building with the consent of its owner or manager.
Never over people
I plan the flight so as not to fly over passers-by and neighbours, even in town.
The weather
On the day I check wind, rain and visibility. If it isn't safe to fly, we move the inspection to the first suitable day.
Fully compliant
I'm an operator registered with d-flight, I hold the A2 pilot certificate for the Open category and I fly in line with the European drone regulation (EU 2019/947).
Frequently asked questions
Before you book
Do you also take thermal images?
No, my drone doesn't have a thermal camera. A thermal survey needs a technician with dedicated equipment.
Can you tell us whether the roof needs redoing?
I tell you what I see and, for panels, I point out the most common problems. To decide on any work you need your technician's opinion.
Can it be done on an apartment building in the city centre?
Often yes, but it depends on the area. I check on d-flight before confirming.
How soon do we receive the images?
Within 5 working days of the flight, with a download link.
