Come and fly with me

The world from above, seen with fresh eyes

About me

Hi, I'm Gianluca. I want to take you flying with me.

How often do we wait for our next trip just to look at the world through the aeroplane window, or climb the highest tower just to enjoy the view? I've found a way to do it whenever I like.

I'm from Forlì and since 2020 I've lived in Castel Maggiore, just outside Bologna. I'm an electrician by trade; in my free time I travel with my wife, hike in the mountains and take photographs. I've always loved new technology, wide views and radio-controlled machines, and in the drone I found all of them together.

I made my first flight at San Luca, around six in the evening. As the drone climbed, the sanctuary, the hills and the city appeared on the screen. It was thrilling, and that is when I realised I wanted to show other people the world from up there too.

I had already felt that emotion as a groom. There was a drone at our wedding, and seeing the church, the venue and our arrival from above was something I still can't put into words.

Today everyone knows what a drone is, but flying one well and within the rules is another matter. I've earned my certificates and I keep studying and staying up to date, because even just lifting off the ground involves laws and permits that few people know about. I don't fly because it's trendy. I fly because the world still amazes me from up there, and I often discover the places I film for the first time myself. That's why I call it a new perspective.

I'm also moved by places with so much history and no one living in them any more, like abandoned villas, castles and villages.

People tell me I'm determined, that I listen, and that I always find a joke to break the tension.

How it works

How we work together

You tell me what you'd like to remember, and I take care of the rest.

  1. 1

    You tell me your idea

Where, when and what you'd like to see from above. I'll reply within 24 hours and we'll talk through the details: by phone, on a Meet or Teams video call, or in person. Once we've spoken, I'll prepare and send you a quote within 24 hours.

  2. 2

    I plan the flight

I check on d-flight whether flying is allowed and, if needed, I apply for the permits. Whenever possible I visit the place in person and decide where to take off from.

  3. 3

    Time to fly

On the day of the shoot I arrive early, check the drone and the weather, and fly at the moments we agreed on.

  4. 4

    I deliver the work

I pick the best footage, edit it and send it to you with a download link.
